DUSUSU Foundation's Co-Founder, Zuriel Oduwole, Propagates Alternative Education Ideas to Address The Global Education Crisis at the W.I.S.E Summit in Qatar

DUSUSU Foundation co-founder Zuriel Oduwole was invited to share her innovative ideas on alternative education at the biannual W.I.S.E summit in Doha, Qatar. Zuriel's ideas have become the driving force behind the foundation's initiatives, aiming to tackle the staggering number of children worldwide who are deprived of basic education.

Innumerable regions across the globe lack access to any form of educational infrastructure due to various reasons. Furthermore, even when schools are present, they are often in poor conditions and require children to travel long distances each day. These challenges have contributed to the alarming statistic of over 250 million out-of-school children today.

Recognizing the inadequacy of solely implementing out-of-school initiatives, the DUSUSU Foundation advocates for a holistic approach to education. Instead of focusing solely on the number of out-of-school children, the foundation aims to redefine the metrics by which we assess child development, shifting the emphasis from "out of school" to "not educated."

By embracing alternative education systems such as skill transfer programs in film making, entrepreneurship, and coding, the DUSUSU Foundation strives to significantly reduce the overwhelming count of out-of-school children worldwide. This approach ensures that practical and usable skills are imparted to older children who have missed out on formal education. Simultaneously, it contributes to a potential reduction in the number of unemployed youths, tackling two pressing issues with one stroke.

Zuriel Oduwole, with her extensive expertise and passion for empowering the underprivileged, has been instrumental in shaping the foundation's vision. Invited to share her ground-breaking ideas on alternative education, she seeks to inspire individuals, organizations, and governments to rethink their approaches to education, ensuring that no child is left behind.

The DUSUSU Foundation remains committed to widening educational opportunities for all children, irrespective of their circumstances. By partnering with like-minded individuals and entities, the foundation endeavors to create a better future for the most vulnerable members of society.
